Entries will be accepted starting at 1:30 PM

Judging will start at 2:00PM

Juniors-Ages 8-17 * Adults-Ages 18 and up

Prizes Adult:

First Place     $75 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/kingarthurflour.com

Second          $50 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/kingarthurflour.com

Third           9″x13″ Cake and Brownie Pan

Prizes Jr/Youth:

First Place     $50 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/kingarthurflour.com

Second          $25 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/kingarthurflour.com

Third           8″ Square Brownie Pan

All winners will also receive a ribbon from King Arthur Flour

Rules

  1.  Entry must follow the determined category and participant uses their own recipe.

a. For the Junior entry the recipe is for Muffins (any kind)

b. For the Adult entry the recipe is for Cookies (any kind)

2.  Cookies or Muffins must use King Arthur Flour and be made from scratch. No mixes.

3. King Arthur Flour is widely available in local grocery stores. For product information, recipe ideas, and store locations go to: www.kingarthurflour.com

4.  Exhibitor must bring the opened bad of King Arthur Flour or submit a UPC label from the flour bag when he/she submits the entry.

5.  Type or legibly write recipe.  Directions for preparing the recipe must be clear. Include pan size, cooking temperature, number

of servings and any other pertinent information. Recipes will become property of the Acton Fair and King Arthur Flour, which reserves the right to edit, adapt copyright, publish and use for publicity, promotion of advertising without compensation.

6.  All entries must be submitted on a disposable container for judging. Adults please provide 6 cookies for judging. Youth please provide 4 muffins for judging.

7.  Judging will be based on the following criteria:

a. Flavor                                          50 points

b. Overall Appearance or creativity     25 points

c. Texture                                        25 points

Total        100 points

8.  Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
